Two Small Men with Big Hearts is a trusted Canadian moving company with more than 40 years of experience. Their mission, values, and deep community involvement have made them a household name for families across the country.
For me, this story is also personal. At Trak Marketing, my husband Michael and I run our family business together, helping companies grow online through SEO and Google Ads. When Mary from Two Small Men with Big Hearts reached out, she wasn’t just looking for someone to manage her Google Ads account; she was looking for a partner who understood her vision.

The Objectives

Our main goal was simple: drive quality traffic and generate meaningful leads. To do this, we explored different types of campaigns from Search Brand and Performance Max to Call Campaigns and Search Non-Brand campaigns. By testing these strategies, we were able to see what truly worked to attract the right audience.
As we put these campaigns into action, the results spoke for themselves. The quality of traffic improved noticeably, and with it, the number of leads coming in from the ads grew steadily. Each tweak and adjustment brought us closer to connecting the right people with Two Small Men with Big Hearts.

Challenges

We kicked off this project in January 2025, and right away we faced the challenge of generating quality traffic and leads while keeping a strong ad presence on a modest budget of $1,500 per month. Making every dollar count and maximizing performance was no small task.

To tackle this, we developed a strategy focused on attracting high-quality traffic while carefully optimizing the budget to generate as many leads as possible without overspending. By the end of the first month, we had recorded 28 conversions at a total cost of $1,601.67 — a solid start that laid the groundwork for even better results in the months to come.

After a few months of analyzing the stats and optimizing the campaign, we
successfully generated 37 conversions with a spend of $2,439.90.

In May, we successfully generated 69 conversions with a spend of $3,426.01.

After analyzing statistics and implementing regular optimizations, we sustain our conversion rate within the same monthly spend of $ 3,300 to $ 3,500.

Ensure our ads appeared at the top of the page, competing effectively with our competitors.

Strategy

We implemented all the measures needed to gain deeper insights and improve key performance metrics, including traffic quality, ad positioning, clicks, CTR, conversions, conversion rate, and calls. Over time, these efforts led to noticeable improvements across the board.

To further optimize performance, we conducted split testing within our Search
campaigns, organizing them around relevant ad group themes. This helped us
attract higher-quality traffic while making more efficient use of the budget.

We also focused on improving the optimization score by following recommended strategies and testing different campaign types, including Search Brand, Search Non-Brand, and Performance Max campaigns, to generate better traffic and more leads. Regularly refining search terms and optimizing performance across devices, mobile, desktop, and tablet allowed us to invest the budget where it mattered most and drive stronger conversions.

We even tested campaigns with different bidding strategies, ensuring more
budget went toward the areas that converted well and less on those that
didn’t. Each adjustment brought us closer to the perfect balance between
efficiency and results.

At the heart of it all, what we loved most was seeing our efforts translate into meaningful connections — knowing that every lead we helped generate was a family or business finding the support they needed from Two Small Men with Big Hearts.
